Creating engaging content for your church can be challenging, but this video offers a simple and effective technique to make your church photos more dynamic and engaging. By creating a photo boomerang in Premiere Pro, you can transform your static images into captivating looping videos that are perfect for social media sharing.
Start by taking a series of burst photos. This will provide you with multiple frames that can be used to create a smooth looping effect.
Import your burst photos into Lightroom. Edit the first photo to your liking, then copy the edit settings to the rest of the photos in the sequence. This ensures consistency across all images.
Once all photos are edited, export them from Lightroom.
Open Premiere Pro and create a new project. Import your edited photos into the project.

Has Sony altered the future of church live streaming with their new cameras? It seems like these new cameras have flown under the radar, but we need to discuss them. If you haven’t heard about the new Sony FR7 cinema camera, this video will give you all the details. The FR7 is part of Sony's Cinema Camera line, but it’s housed in a PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) body, combining high-end cinema features with the convenience of PTZ functionality.
The Sony FR7 offers all the advantages of shooting with a Sony Cinema Camera, including:
All these features are packed into a PTZ camera body, providing both exceptional image quality and the ease of use typical of PTZ cameras. Traditionally, PTZ cameras have compromised on image quality for the sake of convenience, but the FR7 changes the game by delivering high-end cinema quality in a P...

If you're like me and started taking photos and videos for your church, you likely bought a hard drive to store your files. When that filled up, you bought another, and so on, until you have a stack of hard drives of varying sizes and capacities. This situation isn't ideal, especially in a church environment where organizing and sharing media is crucial. Today, I’ll share some online storage options for your church and explain how we get unlimited storage at an affordable price.
When looking for an online storage solution, we had several criteria:
I wanted to share some insights on training church media volunteers. This topic has been discussed frequently in church Facebook groups I’m a part of, and I’ve seen the same questions and challenges come up repeatedly. Here, I’ll outline four key tips that have worked well in my experience.
First and foremost, it’s essential to equip your volunteers with the tools and resources they need to succeed. This includes providing tutorials, checklists, and step-by-step instructions tailored to their specific roles. These resources help volunteers understand their tasks and perform them effectively.
Another critical aspect is keeping your volunteers informed about any changes in workflows. Whenever there’s a change in how things are done—whether it’s running sound or making a video—make sure to communicate these updates clearly. Creating detailed instructions and sending them to the relevant volunteers can prevent confusion and ensure everyone is on th...

A little over a year ago, I shared a video detailing how we use Notion to create checklists and resources for our media team positions. I also provided a free template that other churches could download and use. This article serves as an update to the original one. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend watching it first for a comprehensive understanding of our initial setup. This update focuses on the changes and enhancements we've made to the original template over the past year.
The updated template now serves as a central hub for all things related to worship and media resources. Here's a closer look at the main sections and how we've improved them:
We've revamped the resources and tutorials section, adding new content and organizing it for better accessibility. Here's what you can find:

After using the Behringer Wing at our church for almost six months, I've gathered some insights that I wanted to share. This video covers what I like and what I don't like about this audio console from a non-professional audio engineer's perspective. While there are many professional reviews out there, this one is from someone who's usually on stage playing guitar rather than behind the console.
Setting up the Behringer Wing was surprisingly intuitive. Despite not reading any manuals or watching setup videos, I found it easy to navigate through the menus and configure sources, channels, and outputs. This separation of sources (inputs), channels (signal paths), and outputs (destinations) made perfect sense to me and simplified the process of routing audio.
One of the standout features of the Wing is its highly customizable layout. You can create custom layouts for different banks of fa...

Recently, ProPresenter released an update that has significantly streamlined the process of adding chords to stage screens, thanks to a partnership with MultiTracks. Previously, adding chords involved manually entering them, taking screenshots, or importing PDFs. This new feature automates the process, making it much simpler and faster, albeit at a cost.
To take advantage of this feature, you'll need several MultiTracks subscriptions. The essential ones include:
These subscriptions total approximately $730 annually without discounts. While this might seem steep, especially for those new to MultiTracks, it offers a seamless integration for adding chords to stage screens. For those already using MultiTracks, it can be a logical upgrade.
At my church, we already had the Cloud Pro Plus subscription and recently acquired Chart Pro, so ...
When our lead pastor approached us with the idea of creating an "awkward family Christmas" video series, we knew we had a fun yet challenging project ahead of us. The concept was inspired by popular mockumentary shows like "The Office," "Parks and Recreation," and "Modern Family." The goal was to create engaging bumper videos for our sermon series that would resonate with our congregation.
The idea originated from our lead pastor's request for a bumper video to introduce the sermon series. Given the theme of "awkward family Christmas," I immediately thought of the mockumentary style as the perfect fit. These shows excel at portraying awkward, relatable family dynamics with humor and heart. After discussing the concept with Chris Yarber, who co-created the project with me, we decided to move forward with this unique approach.
One of the reasons our project was so well-received was its personal touch. The people in our videos were member...
I wanted to make a quick little ProPresenter tutorial today. This is something I've been trying to figure out for a while now, and maybe some of you already know this, but I found that finding the information online to actually export a stage screen as a template and then import it into another version of ProPresenter is quite hard. So, I decided to make a dedicated tutorial for those trying to export their stage screens quickly and easily.
To start, let's talk about importing a stage screen into ProPresenter. The process is simple but not very intuitive. First, you need to go to File, then Import, and select the theme you want to import. In my case, I created a theme called "Stage Screen Template." After importing, you will find this theme in your list of themes. Next, you need to edit the theme and transfer it to the stage editor.
Hey everyone, today I want to talk about the Marshall CV503 and why I think it should be your church’s first drum camera for live streams. When it comes to live streaming, there are several essential camera angles to nail down, such as a wide shot of the entire stage and a closer shot of the person leading the song or the pastor. After securing these angles, one great addition is a dedicated drum camera, and the CV503 is an excellent choice for this purpose.
One of the main reasons I recommend the Marshall CV503 is its price. At around $400, it's a budget-friendly option compared to DSLRs or mirrorless cameras, which can cost more than $400 just for the body, not including lenses. This makes the CV503 an economical choice for adding a new camera angle to your setup.
The CV503 is comparable in size to a GoPro, making it easy to position around the drum kit. Unlike GoPros, which require additional acce...
